CHALLENGE
SimplifiedInvoice is a SaaS invoicing and payments platform built for freelancers, contractors, and small business owners to create invoices, accept payments, and track their finances in one place. The existing dashboard felt outdated and no longer matched the product's positioning as a simple, modern alternative to traditional accounting software. The onboarding flow made things worse, its layout confused new users trying to figure out their first steps on the platform.
APPROACH
Audit. Reviewed the existing dashboard and onboarding flow to identify what felt templated, unclear, or disconnected from actual user needs.
Information architecture. Mapped the full sitemap and core user flow, from authentication through onboarding into the dashboard and daily tasks, to establish a clear navigation structure.
Wireframes. Built low-fidelity layouts for the dashboard, settings, product management, and onboarding flow to validate structure before visual design.
High-fidelity design. Designed a complete, production-ready UI across the dashboard, a 4-step onboarding flow, 15 settings sub-pages, and product management screens.
Design system. Built a reusable component library covering color, typography, icons, buttons, inputs, and navigation components.

RESULT
The redesign covers the full dashboard, onboarding flow, settings, and product management experience, backed by a reusable design system for future development. The client responded positively to the shift from a templated, cluttered interface to a cleaner, more purposeful one. There is no confirmed follow-up engagement at this time.
